My name is Raman, I’m 25 years old, born and raised in Amsterdam Zuidoost (the Bijlmer). I work as a peer coach, supporting young people who are looking for structure, direction, work, school, or simply someone who truly understands them.

I grew up in a difficult home situation and was known as a problem kid. I spent years in the streets, dealing with chaos, criminal lifestyle, pressure, and trying to survive. I know what it feels like to be lost and unheard because I’ve been there myself.

That’s exactly why I do this work. I want to give back to the youth, show them real options, and prove that no matter where you come from, there’s always a way forward.
