Greg
I’m a peer coach with ImPower in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, originally from London, and I’ve been living in Amsterdam for the past 15 years.
Over the years, I’ve navigated many of the challenges that come with building a life in a new country, finding work and housing, learning a new language, creating a social network, and developing a sense of belonging. These experiences, along with my own personal journey, have shaped how I support others today.
Before becoming a peer coach, I worked for many years in the television and creative industries. Alongside my professional roles, I often supported colleagues and others who were feeling stuck, uncertain about their next steps, or lacking confidence in their abilities. I also previously worked in a setting where I helped people think about their goals, improve their CVs, and take practical steps toward work or personal development.
As a peer coach, I believe that coaching is not about giving advice or telling someone what to do, but about listening without judgment and helping people discover their own strengths and direction. I’m known for being calm, patient, and approachable, and for asking questions that help people see possibilities they may not have noticed themselves.
This work matters to me because I know how valuable it can be to have someone neutral and supportive alongside you during difficult or uncertain periods. My hope is that anyone reading this feels welcome, understood, and encouraged to start a conversation.
